Poison: 1986 - Look What The Cat Dragged In

En 1986 Poison graba su primer álbum Look what the cat dragged in, que incluía tres hits: "Talk Dirty to me", "I Want Action" y "I Won't Forget You". El álbum llegó a vender 2 millones de copias. En el año 1987 la banda graba el cover de la banda Kiss "Rock and Roll all nigth", que se usó dentro del soundtrack de la película "Less than Zero". 1_Cry Tough

Poison: 1988 - Open Up And Say.....Ahh!!

En 1988 Poison lanza su segundo disco titulado Open up and say... Ahh! que vendió 8 millones de copias en todo el mundo, el disco incluyó los éxitos: "Every Rose has its thorn", "Nothin' but a good time", "Fallen Angel" y el cover "Your Mama don't dance".

Ese mismo año la portada fue censurada debido a que para algunos parecia "satanico";

Poison: 1993 - Native Tongue


En 1993 con Kotzen sacan su cuarto disco llamado: Native Tongue. El nuevo álbum fue fuertemente influenciado por el estilo Kotzen e ideas frescas, contribuyendo a la letra de las canciones, lo que marco un nuevo estilo en la música de la banda. El disco contiene el sencillo "Stand" y recibió positivas críticas, aunque no le fue muy bien en ventas, vendiendo un millón de copias. Los problemas no dejaron la banda, agudizándose con el romance entre Kotzen y la prometida de Rikki Rocket, Kotzen fue expulsado y remplazado por Blues Saraceno.

Poison: 2000 - Crack a Smile

Poison comenzó a grabar su sexto álbum Crack a Smile en 1994, pero la grabación se suspendió abruptamente debido a un accidente donde se vio involucrado el vocalista Bret Michaels, el cual perdió el control de su Ferrari, sufriendo fractura de huesos y pérdida de cuatro dientes. Después de la recuperación en 1995 la banda continuó grabando.

Para este momento el Rock Pesado había perdido popularidad y para contrarrestar un poco la situación, la banda saco un disco de éxitos en 1996 que fue platino y después de 8 años de separación Michaels y DeVille arreglaron sus diferencias y la reunión finalmente fue en 1999

Para el 2000 finalmente el álbum Crack a Smile pudo ser lanzado, posteriormente en el mismo año Poison lanza Power of the people que marcó el regreso de C.C. DeVille a la banda.
